Innovating through Collaboration
The Steel City Innovation website reports on a conference on Open Innovation in Pittsburgh. For many companies the idea that not all the smart people in world work for them can be a tough one to grasp. But that realization is necessary if a company wants to fully grasp Open Innovation and reap its benefits. Once an organization understands that there are smart people working not only within their own network through the supply chain but also at federal labs, universities and elsewhere, the idea of collaborating with those smart people and developing new products and finding new sales can follow.
