The Science Direct website posted an article which explored current and future trends in strategic external network formation in the food and beverage industry. It noted that Oakland has developed a ten-step guide to help companies navigate the process of establishing strategic external networks for open innovation. They can take the form of strategic advisory boards, interconnected ecosystems or ‘hub and spoke’ relationships, and can be used in a variety of ways. Such networks for open innovation are being established to effectively share and leverage technologies, knowledge and ideas.
