Making Innovation Work for All in Denver
The Denver Business Journal reported on CU Denver’s 2030 Strategic Plan: We will, for example, put our research and creative muscle in the service of solving society’s grand challenges, starting with the creation of an open innovation district in the heart of downtown Denver, anchored by our campus. Ideally, the district will attract a mosaic of large corporations, small startups, arts organizations, nonprofits and B Corps. Variety on this scale leads to untraditional mashups that are exciting and dynamic, novel and disruptive. It also leads to massive opportunity: It provides students with new ways to experiment and test ideas because they know we have their backs; it attracts new businesses and organizations and can launch research initiatives and create solutions tailored to the market’s needs.
