BBVA: Technological Highlights from 2019 and a Look at the Year ahead

The BBVA website posted the views of BBVA, a global financial group, on the breakthroughs that happened during 2019, and the ones they see in the technological banking landscape in 2020. The biggest development in 2019 has been focused on making a real impact on the business and in the key BBVA projects, through the promotion of collaboration with fintech startups. About their Open Innovation internal and external customers, they think that the change has been very relevant, not only because the matchmaking has worked much better, but because the whole process has been improved. The hope is that working with the startup and external ecosystems is something natural for all areas and business units, so eventually the Open Innovation function related to identifying needs and finding solutions would be developed directly by them–by the business units themselves.
