How a Chilean Firm Can Help Create a Mining Innovation Hub in Colombia
The Bnamericas website reported that South African miner AngloGold Ashanti and Chilean innovation firm Quintil Valley recently signed an alliance to promote open innovation projects for sustainable mining. “Open innovation, as an alternative for the continent’s mining sector, is a great opportunity to accelerate transformation processes and add value to the community through different initiatives, but also to take advantage of the creative capacity deployed by technology-based SMEs, universities and research centers,” said Walter Rosenthal, the innovation manager of AngloGold Ashanti. “We have learned how to drive this process, by guiding communication and interaction to increase the match between solutions providers and the companies with the requirements.”
