International Sports Groundbreakers Challenge
The sportanddec.org website reported that Sport Singapore and the Global Sports Innovation Center, a Microsoft-backed technology network, have launched the International Sports Groundbreakers Challenge. The challenge is reported to be one of the largest open innovation projects in the Asia Pacific region. The challenge aims to find solutions to real business challenges being faced by sport organizations around the areas of fan engagement, smart venues, athlete performance, sustainability, sport for good, media, sponsorship, fitness and wellness, and e-sports. 20 organizations were involved in contributing to the 35 problem statements of the inaugural International Sports Groundbreakers Challenge. The statements cover various sports including football, cricket, Mixed Martial Arts, cycling and swimming.
