Microsoft, Other Tech Companies Join 5G Open Innovation Lab
The 425 Business website reported that the 5G Open Innovation Lab, a global ecosystem of developers, enterprises, and government institutions that was launched in May, announced that Microsoft has joined the lab as a founding partner. Founding partners include T-Mobile, NASA, and Intel. Other new founding partners include Amdocs, Dell Technologies, and VMware. The new partners will broaden lab participants’ access to leading-edge network, software, and hardware platforms. “We’re working harder than ever to build a transformative 5G network for all, but we must build something even bigger — an ecosystem that creates economic value beyond traditional telecom,” Neville Ray, president of technology at T-Mobile, said.
