UniQuest, AstraZeneca Collaborate on Open Innovation
The University of Queensland website reported that the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca and the research company UniQuest have formed an open innovation program to support academic research that holds promise of new therapeutic drugs. Dr Dean Moss, chief executive officer of UniQuest said the agreement would give researchers access to high-quality AstraZeneca compounds to investigate human mechanisms of disease. “The collaboration will help foster medical innovation by bringing together complementary skills,” Dr Moss said, supporting UniQuest’s strategy of fostering research commercialisation through industry engagement.
