Managing Intellectual Property Risks in India
The Businessworld website interviewed Anup Sahoo, the founder of Ideapoke, an online platform which provides open innovation services to over 180,000 companies around the world, about the challenges faced by small firms doing innovation and the scope for open innovation in India. Sahoo said that open innovation and crowd sourcing are being well adopted by Indian companies. But still India is far behind America and Europe. Almost half the collaborators face problems like poorly-defined strategies for managing intellectual property (IP) risks as well as lack of efficiency at resolving IP disputes during the experimentation and procedural stages of innovation.
