NineSigma Open Innovation AIDS Vaccine Challenge
Crainsclevelandbusiness website reports that NineSigma, which helps companies with technical problems find partners that can solve them, designed and oversaw an open innovation process that resulted in the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI) awarding $875,000 to two researchers. The process began in October 2010, when IAVI asked NineSigma to conduct a global search for scientists with expertise that could be applied to HIV vaccine design, including those that had not previously worked on AIDS-related research.
