Honda on Open Innovation
The Wall Street Journal website reported that Honda, which has had a presence in Silicon Valley since 2000, said its expanded R&D facility there would focus on open innovation, working with entrepreneurs and other companies involved with new technologies. To do that, Honda has launched a new open innovation program called Xcelerator which will offer funding, engineering support and resources to entrepreneurs to help them develop prototypes. The company will incubate entrepreneurs and provide mentors at Honda.
