A Study of Open Innovation in the Electricity Sector
The University of Mannheim website reported that an open seminar by the Mannheim Institute for Sustainable Energy Studies and the Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research will be held on June 5 on Open Innovation in the Electricity Sector. This talk focuses on current efforts by a consortium of utilities in different countries seeking to promote innovations related to the generation, storage and distribution of electricity. Specifically, this talk will describe the process of funding new digital grid technologies by the utility consortium. The speaker will be Dr. Stephen D. Comello, Lead, Energy Business Innovations Focus Area at Stanford Graduate School of Business.
