Managing Open Innovation in Large Firms
The Fraunhofer Society website posted an article, “Managing Open Innovation in Large Firms” by Henry Chesbrough of the Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley and Sabine Brunswicker, of the Fraunhofer Society. Originally published in 2013, the article was the first large sample survey of open innovation adoption among large firms. Surveying large firms in both Europe and the US with annual sales in excess of US$ 250 million, the article reported many important facts that show the extent to which large firms are practicing open innovation. The survey results paint a picture in which open innovation is on the rise as well as noting that there is room for improvement.
