The Proquest website described a study which noted that the existing Open Innovation teaching programs are rather limited and the tools and methods applied are not yet widely discussed in business and academia. Building on the results of a large EU project developed first in Europe OI curriculum, the authors’ experience in teaching OI, and 11 OI teaching courses in different EU countries, this research aims to elaborate a conceptual pedagogical approach to developing and teaching OI. The results of the study point towards OI educational challenges at the teacher and students levels, but also at the educational system in general.
